open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi all,

I'm trying to edit my mesh so that all nodes above a certain point are removed (e.g all points >2m are deleted). I can't find a bulk selection tool, however I have used Tool>Extract Points on a closed line to get the mesh near to what I want. It's not ideal however, and I was wondering if there was a method to "cut" the mesh at a certain height at all?

There is no such function.

The closest thing would be to use "Edit->T3 Mesh->Delete elements in Polygon..."

Sorry but no.

You can do something similar in Telemac, using the « ELEMENTS MASKED BY USER » option. It does not create a hole as such in the mesh, but elements can be removed from calculation.

Use the subroutine MASKOB where you can specify which element of the mesh (those where one node is higher than 2m for instance).
