Hello all,

I want to create a new mesh with T3 mesh generator, I select the outline and the sub-mesh and when I click on the RUN button I get the following error message : "FATAL ERROR: unable to continue - Minimum Edge length = 0.000000". If I just select the outline and not the sub-mesh then it generates but this mesh does not correspond to the sub-mesh we would want to use.

Could you please help me ?

Regards.

Hi,

have you checked your submesh or it the outline directly on nodes of the submesh? Apparently the T3-mesh creator has problems because you have two nodes on the same point, the edge length is thus 0.000.

Best regards,
Gabi

Hi,

I guess this is it, the outline and the sub-mesh share at least one point so that we get this error. But now we know that we do not need to use this method to get the mesh we want.

Hi,

Congratulations! You have uncovered a bug.
I thought I had checked for all instances of co-located input geometry but I guess I missed one.
Could you please post the t3m file here so we (NRC) can debug the problem.

Cheers... Martin

Hello Serrer,

I send as am attachement 1D_domain_test.i2s, that is the line that was used as outline. And I send FOND(Subset).t3s as the sub-mesh we wanted to use as initial mesh to extend to the outline. I hope I am clear.

There has been an error I couldn't upload on this page the files I was talking about in my previous message...

Following this address you will download the outline we wanted to use : bulle.cerfacs.fr/dmoe

Following this address you will download the sub-mesh we wanted to extend to the previous outline : bulle.cerfacs.fr/40j2

In both cases the password is "serrer", I do not have the choice to use a password...

Hi,

Please provide the t3m file. It contains all the information needed to recreate the problem.
You can generate a t3m file by selecting the "newT3Mesh" object in the workspace and using "File->Save".
