I am running a coupled telemac2d-tomawac simulation on a windows platform (V7P1). The simulations runs smoothly and generates results with no problems.

After doing many runs I am wondering if there is a file size limit for Blue Kenue when reading selafin files?

I am using a small time step (0.2 secs) with grid no of points 96546 (max no of elements around a point=10).

With a run of 1400 time steps, generates a results file of approx. 2mb. This is read perfectly by Blue Kenue and results look good.

Any larger temporal runs (anything over 1800 steps), for example a run of 5000 steps generates a result file approx double (4 mb) but Blue kenue will not read it. End of model run messages are the same with a successful model run end and moving and handling of results files. Plenty of disk space and ram.

The same thing occurs when i am using a different mesh. At the moment i am stuck to outputting the last 1000 time steps of a run to see results.

My bad i missed that the error was when reading the file in BlueKenue.

First of all I presume you mean GBytes not MB.

Sorry, but, you have to give more detail.
What are the symptoms?
Are there any error messages from BK?
Is this 32 or 64 bit Blue Kenue?

I seem to remember some issues with files over 2 GBytes
but that was addressed years ago.

Thanks for your reply, afraid i mean mega bytes! It is 64 bit windows version of telemac. Everything runs well (have tried several meshes of different areas and scales from 500m meshes to 5 m meshes)

Always runs complete regardless of size with no error messages.

But always get error with files larger than 4 Mb in Blue kenue, error message, is "error while reading file"

Could you find a solution to give us a file which crash and allow us to investigate the problem.
As the size on the forum is limited, you probably have to find a solution to share such file (ftp, dropbox ...)

The file in the download area have size of 4 GB!
This is thousand times more than what you described when you wroteI curently downloading your file but maybe this is "quite" logical to crash with such a huge file which is not necessarily well managed by Windows...

Hi yes this is a larger file as an example, I can post a small one with the same error, will run the model again and post a smaller 4mb file. However i did not know there was a upper size limit for the windows version.
