Hello

a naive question: I'm always using control section with Telemac or Tecplot to compute discharge between 2 points. But when I have already my result file, I don't know how to do it with BK. I'm used to do it with Tecplot but I'm interested by the use of BK for such task.
Any clue !

Hi Riadh,
hui, an opportunity to answer a question from you! B)
In BlueKenue, with the calculator calculate two new items: U*H and V*H. Then under Tools -> Create Vector field with both the components. First you have to mark one of them. Draw a 2d open line, then under Tools -> Integrate along Line -> choose the UH+VH vector field.

Hi Clemens,

Always had my doubts with this, a coworker noticed that the flow seems to be over/understimated with BK in comparison to the control section procedure...does BK takes into account the flow direction in the integration process? e.g. almost ~0 flux in a parallel line to flow direction?

Hi all,

The quick answer is yes, orientation is taken into account.
The source line is resampled to element boundary intersections
and U and V components are interpolated at all points.
