Hi,

I am planning to do a dam-break experiment. I created a channel mesh for the whole river. Using it as a submesh and specifying a density I was able to create a proper mesh.

Now I want to refine two portions of the channel where the dams are located. The BK tutorial tells us how to do it by creating a hole but the resulting mesh doesn't have a smooth transition in the channel where the normal and refined portions meet.

How to make that transition smooth while retaining the mesh pattern of the other portions more or less intact (except the boundaries between refined and normal channel)

Cheers,

Hi
You have to play with the various parameter (edge growth ratio, density) when you remesh the small refined area.
Be sure to uncheck "resample outline" when you use this method in order to ensure a proper merge of your mesh
