Hello,

Is there any possibility to combine two different resultfiles into one file?

E.g. the first result ist the waterdepth from a timestep 0h05min to 0h10min and the second result the waterdepth from 0h10min to 0h15min.

Both results are in two different files and everytime i want to see the complete time i must start the first 5min and after them the next 5min.

The Problen is ther is no possibility to finish the Telemac2d - run in one big file because i use an block rainfall.

Regards Michael

Hi,

I am not exactly sure of what you are doing but it seems like you run several 2D models after each other to reproduce a block rainfall using previous run as hotstart?

In that case you can model a block type hyetograph in a much simpler way (ie in a single run, no need for hotstarts):
  • up to version 7.1: you can program it in subroutine prosou (search on the forum, there have been several examples posted I think)
  • from version 7.2: in the new rainfall-runoff model there is a new function making it possible to read a user defined hyetograph in a formatted data file. Have a look at subroutine runoff_scs_cn.f and at the new user manual available in \v7p2r0\documentation\telemac2d\user. In that case you must use the runoff model but if you no infiltration or already removed it from your rainfall you can simply define a CN coefficient of 100 in the whole domain. Please have a look at the new test case pluie in \v7p2r0\examples\telemac2d for details on how to use this new runoff model (there is an example with block type hyetograph).

Best regards

Thanks for your fast answer.
Thats exactly what i do.

Did you mean with the v7p2 the trunk version or is the new version finished?

I could not use the trunk version because i use two culverts and the trunk version dont work with culverts.

Best regards
Michael

Hello,

Yes, I mean the new version v7p2r0 available via SVN repository.
Why are the culverts not working on the trunk version? I did not try it recently so I can't comment. I just noticed a small error in the test case bridge in the tube data file in v7p2r0 but the culvert function itself is working.

www.opentelemac.org/index.php/kunena/16-...o1-bridge-txt-v7p2r0

Be aware that the number of imput parameters has changed since new formulas have been added - if you simply use an earlier tube data file it will indeed crash. Have a look at the test case bridge (the trunk version has been corrected) for guidance.
I also saw that Sven Smolders posted recently a link pointing at his paper describing the new formulas, search on the forum!

Hi,

First i thank you so much you make my life easier. I didn`t noticed the new version is finished.

The trunk doesnt know the culvert keyword.

In the trunk version the test-bridge.cas runs but the water dont flow from the right side to the left.

Best regards

Hi,

You're welcome, happy to help.
The trunk version should work now since Agnès made the correction recently (see the link in my previous post). If you downloaded the trunk before that then your version is actually not working.

Look at what you have in the bridge text file: you should have HAUT2 = 1,5 (it was 0 in the first version and it was why the computed discharge was actually 0).

Good luck!
