TOPIC: Element Selection tool

Element Selection tool 7 years 8 months ago #25649

I was wondering in Blue Kenue if there was any way of selecting a series of elements within say a polygon so that these multiple elements could then be deleted from the mesh as a single operation.
I think at the moment you have to select and delete element by element. such an option would be very useful for building models particularly using mesh merge etc. Also being able to drag nodes with the mouse to a new position would also be extremely useful. Possible future upgrades ???

Hi Tony

About the first question, this is possible and easy to do. Just build a polygon and use the menu Edit/T3mesh/delete elements in polygon (near the button merge mesh)!

About the second point, i will let the developer answer

Thanks Christophe,
I realised after I posted it that yes the polygon delete is available i had looked in tools but not edit.

On the second point being able to drag points and polylines to revised positions using the mouse would make the BK software very useful for setting up and adjusting meshes.

Hi Tony,

Unfortunately interactive mouse drag and drop editing of points, lines, mesh nodes etc. has not been implemented in Blue Kenue.

Perhaps someday.
