Hello!

I'm using the "Triangulation" generator to make a channel mesh, so that my points determine the spacing of the triangle elements. However, at the boundary the triangulation produces very thin triangles. There are only single points at these boundaries so I expected a simple connecting element, as per the rest of the mesh.

I've attached an image: you can see at the boundary of the mesh the thin triangles, whilst the next "row" of triangles down has clean lines.

Does anyone know why this happens, and how to rectify it? There's a considerable number like this so deleting element-by-element would be extremely time consuming.

Many thanks!

Hi,

The "File->New->Triangulation" tool performs a Delaunay triangulation on a set of input points. It is NOT a mesh generator.
Google "Delaunay Triangulation" for more information...

Use "File->New->T3 Mesh Generator" or "File->New->T3 Channel Mesher" to generate a mesh suitable for use in a TELEMAC simulation.
