Hello All,

My name is José and Im a new Telemac-blue kenue user. I have already took a look at the user manual and excellent tutorial made by Philippe Maron and Thiery Faure to build a mesh for a small coastal-estuarine area...I have extracted my outline and digitized it on matlab and exported as a shapefile. Later, I imported it on blue kenue and saved like .12s file to use as my mesh outline.

However, it seems that the outline points are not evenly spaced, so my mesh is created with a crazy density criteria. Yet, when I tick resample outline option, BK return me an error and dont finish my mesh.

I would like to create it with regular sized and spaced elements throughout my mesh.

Anyone could help me?

Thanks in advance

José

Hello José
Sorry for this late reply.
Your problem seems to come from the conversion of shp file to i2s format. Generally this conversion induces more informations than needed.
You have to open your i2s file with notepad++ for instance and then remove the unnecessary informations.
You can also just copy and paste the closed line that you need for your outline. and then copy it with another name. Then you can right-click and resample it.

The last way to do, is simply let BK resample the outline. you have to check the case 'resample outline' before running the mesher.

I hope this helps

with my best regards

Riadh
