Hey folks,

It seems like this would be an easy task, but I can't figure out how to re-order my data items in Blue Kenue (without manually changing their order in the .ews file). Is there a way to do this in the GUI?

Cheers,
Ben

There is currently no way to re-order objects in the "Data Items" portion of the workspace; doing it manually in the workspace file is an appropriate work around

Kindly,
Alan

Hello Ben,

What I usually do in this kind of situation, asuming that they are already loaded in the >dataframe<, is to "re drop" them secuentially in the desired order (drag them again to the view). As a rule the dropped layer will always be on top of the rest preserving the style that they had, so this becomes a reverse sequence somewhat easy to handle.

I know that th ideal situation is to have a proper context menu/dedicated button for this but I find this drag-n-drop easier than manually editing a *.EWS file.

Regards,

José D.

José is absolutely right... dragging and dropping them in reverse order from the gui is the way to go. Thanks José

I should have said there is no "direct" way to re-order them by using a right-click context menu nor a menu item

sigh... I should do what my wife keeps telling me and "get more sleep"

Kindly,
Alan

Thanks guys,

The drag-and-drop method works for the views, but I was specifically referring to the order of items under the "Data Items" heading. I'd like to have the option to re-order the items there for purely organizational reasons (e.g., have all my mesh generators grouped together, etc.). Dragging an item back up to the "Data Items" heading doesn't seem to work.

Thanks,
Ben

Ok... I'll make a note to see about making the "data" section work similarly to the "view" section; may take me a while to get to it...

Kindly,
Alan
