Is the wind data dynamic or static (ie one time stamp)? I assume you will convert static wind data to slf format. Yes if you can manage to convert the ascii file to a format recognizable by BlueKenue (eg SMS 2dm or t3s) with some coding, the following will be easy:
- create a new slf file in BlueKenu
- import the 2dm or t3s format file, including the wind dataset
- add variable to slf file by choosing the wind dataset

I have never used techplot. If it can extract ascii file from slf, can't it assign new data back?

Hope this helps,

Hailiang

If you would like to apply that as model input, you must program a Fortran subroutine as Riadh has suggested in a recent post. If not, how would you like to use such a file?
