I am not the author of those files. They are part of the SWAN wave model and can be donwloaded from this site:

swanmodel.sourceforge.net/unswan/unswan.htm

Is there any standard for .bot files?

For Shewchuks Triangle files (which is what Blue Kenue supports) we expect a single column of values in the .BOT file to line up with the nodes in the .NOD file.

I can't remember what Delft did in their interpretation of these file formats. (I've been retired for over 4 years now.)

I suggest you consult the SWAN manual.

There's no explanation in the SWAN manual nor their website, but the files are read fine using Matlab and this gets me pissed off.

Anyway, this bug must be set to fixed/closed.
