open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi,
the latest alpha version downloadable on CHyMS Public Download Area has several bugs:

- layer editing systematically causes BK to crash and closes
- we can't rename the meshes
- BK closes for no reason
- the workspace backup does not work

Is it possible to dowload a little older version and more stable?

Thanks for letting me know about the issues you have found with the most recent alpha version. It would be very helpful for me (in order to fix these things) if you have some time to contribute more detailed information. In particular:

• if you have not already done so, please read the CHyMS FAQ including the entries for:
  • What makes a good problem description? (a.k.a. a fault (bug) report)
  • What are the Best Practices for making good problem descriptions (bug reports) to help diagnose an issue during troubleshooting?
  • fault (bug) submission template - for reporting one error at a time
• carefully fill the template 4 times; once for each of the items you have identified
  
• email me all of your filled out templates and associated test data (if applicable)... then I can create tickets on CHyMS and track each of their resolutions individually...

This will help me to correct the mistakes I have introduced into Blue Kenue. By the way, I currently have something like 300 things that are being tracked; new features, bugs, suggestions, etc. And I do my best to fix crashes and mistakes I have introduced but I can only do so in the context of the funding support that I receive... and sometimes I do not have funding in order to do things that would be very beneficial for everyone!

For your request for an older alpha or beta version; simply put... they are no longer supported. This is because I don't have funding to support them. Unless, of course, if you would like to pay me to do this for you...!

Anyway, I will do my best and sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. One option may be for you to use BK 3.11.9-alpha for what works; report any issues you find and use the released 3.3 for the rest...
