Dear users,

I am new using BlueKenue and I am trying to put together two meshes, one of an estuary and the other of a river, but they are in two different coordinates.

One of the meshes is in grades and the other in UTM coordinates but both are in cartesian, so I thought moving and scaling one to fix with the other, is this possible?

I understand with Shift in X/Y I could move one, my problem is to scale it.

If there is another way to join two meshes I will be glad to know.

Many thanks!
Lucas.

Hi
You could look at the python script available in Telemac (run_telfile.py)
There is some capabilities to convert coordinates...

Hope this helps

Hello Alan,

I used some MatLab functions to read and rewrite a selafin file. Thus I changed the XY with another MatLAb function called utm2deg.

Then I worked on a transition zone of both meshes because the elements sizes were different.

This way works.

Thanks for ask!
Lucas.

Hi Lucus,

Ok... so... what was missing in Blue Kenue? Only the ability to scale the x,y co-ordinates? Or something else?

Kindly,
Alan
