Now seems to be working based on the steps I tried:
  • Load channel mesh that was previously created by the Channel mesher and saved to a file
  • Load the outline that I had previously saved to a file
  • File > New > T3 Mesh Generator...
  • Drag the outline and the submesh (i.e. the channel mesh)
  • Set the options and generate a new mesh using the outline and submesh

Since I've also allowed dragging the mesh directly from the channel mesher to the mesh generator your steps may be slightly different than mine.

I think now's a great point to create another alpha version and share

Alan

As a side question...

You loaded the shape file with the left and right banks and then did you drag the lineset onto the LeftBank and then drag the same thing again onto the RightBank?

I import the shapefile, load it in View, select the RightBank and paste it in RightBank of channel mesher. Same for LeftBank.

It's the "straighter" way to build the channel mesh rather than load the shapefile, save all banks as separate files, load them and drag them.

Agreed. Your way is better! B)

I also see that the mesh's colour scale needs to be reset with your approach. I'm going to poke around for the root cause to see if I can fix it before I create the next version.

Stay tuned ;)
