Dear telemac users,

I am new to telemac, have installed apparently with success in my ubuntu system. Now I don't find any reference in the manuals regarding a preprocessor for linux.

Should I prepare the geo file by myself or is there a gui for that?

thanks
ze

Hi

Is it's already mentionned in some post, you could use Blue Kenue which run under Wine on ubuntu
It seems to me that a Janet version is also available for linux
Finally, you could probably use other mesh generator and try to convert the result mesh into a telemac geometry file with Blue Kenue or Fudaa-prepro.

Hope this helps

It's true: Since Janet is implemented in Java it runs on linux systems. We provide a shell-script that makes use of a pre-installed Java-Runtime-Environment. Feel free to check out the Community-Edtion available on our homepage www.smileconsult.de .

Hi,
BlueKenue run also under linux (Ubuntu 10.04 in my case). To install it, you should:

1) install Wine
2) download BlueKenue (the window$ installer file "msi")
3) from a terminal : > wine msiexec /i bluekenue.msi

all the best,

Pablo

Hi ze,

I've had some stability issues with BlueKenue on wine (Ubuntu 10.04).
I now run it through a VirtualBox virtual windows machine and haven't had an issue over the past year or so.

Hi,

Wine is available at www.winehq.org/

If you choose the Virtual Box route as Jeremie suggests above, you'll
find it at www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads

Cheers... Martin
