open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi, everyone,

I want to prescribe the UBOR and VBOR in the boundary file by BlueKenue, but I noticed some minus values of UBOR and VBOR in the validation examples provided by telemac2d, and I found when I set the positive value for them in the upstream, the flow will go to the opposite direction,not to the downstream, should I use the minus values for them?

I want to know the direction of UOB & VOB, if put them in the coordination system, how is the U & V axis? Do they look like the xy coordination?

Any help will be appreciated!

I have understood the meaning of the minus U and V, they are same with the XY coordination.
