Hello,

I have been running a series of 'without project' and 'with project' simulations. The meshes for both types of simulation are identical except that elements within the project footprint (i.e. bridge piers) were removed for the 'with project' mesh. Since the result meshes aren't exactly identical, the BlueKenue calculator tool is not available to calculate the differences. I was also unable to map the results from the 'with project' run onto a copy of the 'without project' run (Map Object tool is ghosted).

Any suggestions on the easiest way to generate difference plots would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

Mapping between different meshes is a standard function.
Can you please list the exact steps you are taking to try to achieve this so I can get an idea where it's going wrong for you.

Cheers... Martin

I am trying to map the results from the 'with project' scenario (.slf) onto a copy of the 'without project' result (.slf) in order to be able to use the Calculator to compute the difference. When I load the result files into BlueKenue, and select WATER DEPTH (or any of the other output variables) the Map Object tool is ghosted. This appears to be the case for any item with more than one frame.

I did succeed this morning in mapping all the frames of the 'with project' results onto the 'without project' BOTTOM.t3s. I was then able to do the difference using the Calculator tool.

Hi,

OK, I understand now. The object you're mapping to cannot be multi-frame.

You must (as you seem to have done) create a single frame mesh as a mapping target. Accomplished either via the calculator or by saving a single frame to a file.
