Hi

I would like to create a meandering channel mesh to insert into a larger mesh. I have read that model results are better if the channel is discretised such that the curvature angle between elements is equal instead of having elements of uniform length. The T3 channel mesher in Blue Kenue only allows you to choose an along channel interval, i.e. have elements of uniform length. Does anyone know how I can create a channel mesh with elements of uniform curvature instead, in Blue Kenue or any other software?

Thanks

Fay

Hello,

the CCHE2D Mesh Generator (University of Mississippi) is a powerful mesh generator for structured curvilinear grids and is freeware:
tinyurl.com/nqggc34

Then you can use a Python script to convert the CCHE2D mesh to a Telemac / BlueKenue triangular mesh: tinyurl.com/pvdgd7r

Hope it helps,
Clemens

Dear f.luxford,

Another options for you is use SMS to creat the mesh, but it is a commercial software,
