Hello,

Can we split a node which is also a hard point? If not, could you please suggest an alternative. I need to edit two nodes which are also hard points and they have 8 neighboring nodes.

Hello,

The nodes with Node ID's of 21935 and 5448 have 8 neighboring nodes. How can I edit these nodes so that they have less than 8 neighbors?

Hi,

You can select an edge of a mesh using the T3 mesh toolbar, and select swap edge. This will reduce the neighboring element to 7, you may then have to adjust some neighboring nodes location using edit node option to get proper quality elements.

Hope this helps,

With best regards,
Gourish

Hi Divya,

A node is only defined as "hard" during the meshing process.
Once you have a mesh you can edit it as desired/required.
As Gourish explained in your case, select an element edge and "swap" it.

Cheers... Martin
