Dear TELEMAC Users,

Do you have any experience to convert a TELEMAC mesh to a .KML file and plot it on Google Earth?

For the last trial, I saved a .KML file (as Lat/Long Data) and plotted the file on Google Earth. However, the plot was not realistic at all. Please see the attachment.

So... if you have any idea on it, could you please let me know.

Best Regards,

Hi Joon,

You can use Blue kenue "File->Save Copy As..." to write a mesh to a KML file.

Hi Joon,

You can use Blue Kenue "File->Save Copy As..." to write a mesh to a KML file.

Remember though that you need to project the grid to LatLong first.

So in your case you need to "Assign" the projection parameters to whatever projection your grid is in.

Then select "LatLong" and hit Apply.

Hi Martin,

Thanks a lot for your answer.

I have done what you recommended, but this does not work.
The KML file, generated by Blue Kenue, were falsely plotted on Google Earth.

I could not post the KML file, prohibited by the web site.
So... could you please convert the attached SLF file to a KML file, and plot the KML file on Google Earth?
(It would be somewhere in Pacific Ocean, just for a test.)

Best Regards,

Joon

Hi
it seems to me that Google Earth is not able to manage the mesh (in kml) if it has too many element...

Maybe it's your case...

Best regards
