Question of resmapling the line in the BlueKenue. 10 years 4 months ago #13550

Dear All:

When I used BlueKenue to generate the mesh, I transfered the shapefile to .i2s then I resmaple the .i2s file for preparing the materials to generate the mesh.

But when I resmaple the i2s file, the shap of the lines will be changed. Like this:

Picture1_2014-07-03-2.jpg

The black line is the original line, the red one is resampled with max distance 2m, the blue line is resample with equal distance 2m.

So is there any way to resample the lines and keep the same shape as the origin?

Thanks a lot.

Best wishes,
Qiang MA

Hi

This is not a bug of blue kenue but a problem with the display. It has been already discussed in some other topics...
The coordinates are too high so it generates some roundings in the display which could generate such phenomenon.
On the other hands, in telemac, if you use the simple precision data format, you could have some problems with your mesh if you have some small elements in it.
The best solution is to shift your data in order to work in a local system of coordinates where the origin is more or less in your domain...

Hope this helps
Christophe

Thank you for your reply.

I tried to shift the lines to (0,0), and now when I resample the lines, it works well.

Thanks a lot.
