Hi everybody,

I just finished simulating a dam break.

Now I have the wave running through the area. For my report I need to show the maximum flooded area on a map. I think I would "just" need a raster showing the maximum water depth from the time series.

I could not find a way to extract the maximum value of a cell from the time series.

As the Dam Breach seems to be one of the "main scenarios" for Telemac I think this has to be possible? Where do I find this option?

If not: Any idea how to solve that using FUDAA, ArcGIS 10 or Qgis (with Crayfish)? (or even Paraview???)

With BlueKenue, you can get the temporal maximum for each node:
Select your variable from the slf file > Tools > Extract Surface > Temporal Maximums
This gives you a "mesh" but not a raster. If you really need a raster, you will have to use another sotware to interpolate on the raster cells (I do not think BlueKenue can do this).

Hope it helps

Perfect- that's what I was looking for! Thanks for the quick reply. Didn't think of that tool...

I can export that with Blue Kenue to XYZ / 2dm and put it into ArcGIS/QGIS/GlobalMapper for making a grid and the maps.
