Hi Martin,

Thank you for reply. The scale is working fine, it is a arrow grid that I wish to change. It looks like it is not available on extracted layer level, but it works fine on surface. I hope it is there, and I just cannot see it:). See attached. Thank you.

Kind Regards!

Violeta

Dear Users,

Just a quick question. Does anyone know how to change the arrows grid on 3D results Extracted Levels for Velocity Values in BK? Automatically, the scale is too dense for my results as it appears on every node, so all arrows are merging and I wish to coarse it little bit. It works fine on the Surface level but not on extracted ones. Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards!

Violet

Hi Martin and All,

I apologize for reactivating this old post, but I cannot understand the residuals function of Blue Kenue...I looked at the code, but I cannot realize what it is. Is it a rolling average?

If I would like to cite it in my manuscript, how would be the best definition? Residuals for me is quite trick, since I saw a couple of different definitions depending on what kind of analysis I am performing...

Best,

Hi Jose,

The BlueKenue "Extract Residuals..." function is computed as the time averaged velocity at a node between the specified Start and End frames.
(I believe this is referred to as the Eulerian residual.)

Hope this helps... Martin
