Hi everyone,

I'm doing a mesh with a closed hardline, in order to have a hole in my mesh. I'm using a resampled closed line as hardline to generate my mesh around the hole.

I generated my mesh and saw a problem with my hardline. One edge is missing. I attached somes images to illustrate my problem

Then I merge this mesh with a small submesh (the contour of my submesh is the same line as the hardline used to generate my big mesh with the hole)

And at this step I have a problem, the red element isn't considered as an element by BlueKenue. So when I want to run a simulation with T2D, I have a solid boundary inside of my mesh. I was able to correct this error by correcting the conlim file directly with a text editor, but not with BK.

Regards,

Arthur

Hi
Even you correct the conlim file manually, the geometry file stay wrong as there is no element declare at this place.
The only option would probably be to save the mesh as a T3S and manually modify it to generate the missing element (in the connectivity table)
Otherwise, you should try to generate the outer mesh one more time with a special attention to this corner in order to understand why you obtain this result. Maybe a problem of density?

Hi Christophe,

I have the T3S file associated to this mesh but I don't know how to generate manually the missing element (or the missing edge, only one is missing). Where can I find the connectivity table ?

Moreover, when I generate one more time the mesh I have the same problem, and my density is uniforme in my mesh.

Hi
for the first point, look in the manual, it seems to me there is a description of the T3S file format. In my mind, you have to add an element and describe the 3 nodes which compose it...

For the mesh generation, maybe you could post your data file...
it could help the developers to check if something is wrong...
