TOPIC: Extract velocity vectors along re-sampled line

Extract velocity vectors along re-sampled line 8 years 11 months ago #19148

Dear Blue Kenue users/developers,

What is the process for extracting TELEMAC-2D "VELOCITY UV" results along a resampled 2D line? I've done this using Blue Kenue in the past but cannot recall how it was done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(see attached example)

Hello,

make a 2d line, resample it and now the trick:
create a "fake" mesh by making a triangulation object and use the resampled line as source. Then you can map the Velocity UV onto this mesh.

Hope this helps,
Clemens

Hi Clemens,

I suppose this should make its way into the "Hints and Tricks" section of the manual.

Cheers... Martin
