open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

hi, this is my second post in the forum, i just successfully installed telemac 2 days ago, so im a new user.

i would really appreciate if someone could explain to me hot to view results on a linux platform , i tried opening then whit blue kenue directly but nothing happens. (i tried opening the slf file)

i use wine to run blue kenue, is there any way to open my results from the terminal directly after running the simulation?

i currently use v7p1r0 version.

Hi Chelo,

Does the Blue Kenue application launch?
Can you open a simple xyz text file using the "File->Open" menu item?
Have you read the Blue Kenue tutorial?

Blue Kenue is not a command line application so there is no place for a terminal window.

thank you for replying , sorry for taking so long to re post but i have been working in QGIS BASEmesh to generate the basic mesh. my Blue Kenue wont open my 2dmesh. i think the wine app for linux is not working properly for Blue Kenue.
i did import 2dmesh and i get the following error--> " Error while reading file".
it works fine whit the Crayfish plug-in

on QGIS.

so ,may someone try to import my 2dmesh in Blue Kenue and check if it works please?

I'm getting a permission error when I try to download your attachment.

someone told me that bluekuene doest like zeros as a row in so i made another file but still did not work .

PD: i tried to use the tutorial posted here for Blue kuene but it wont open even de contour file. (.i2s)

Dear Chelo,

I've been using Bluekenue both in linux and Windows and so far the only issue i've had is related to the video export feature and some minor icon glitches with the luna theme, the rest is just working as expected.

The current config in my machines: PlayOnLinux+SystemWine (1.6x ubuntu repos),windows XP desktop,have both x64 and x86 Bluekenues,minor antialiasing and fonts tweaks.

Also i've been able to reproduce the bug (BK does nothing when loaded any kind of info) if WINE is set to windows 7.

hi , thanks for replying.
i installed a virtual machine (virtual box) and blue kenue runs fine. the file i uploaded works fine as well.
i just tried it , it works fine if you put W XP in wine settings.

PD: BASEmesh in QGIS for pre processing is great the procedure is quite simple and it can help you use other things QGIS is good at.
i will today use blue kenue to compare and see if there is any advantage.

I will give it a try!

Currently I'm trying to replace SMS mesher for an open sourced tool and had learning SALOME in my to-do list,Ill guess i give this a shot because i do like what 'Triangle' does and see this is somehow related to it.
