Hi,

I try to mesh my model with Matisse (Fudaa) but I don't succeed in doing it. There is no error message so I don't understand why I can't mesh model.

There are only 144 000 points so it is not an important model but after 2 days, the mesh does not appear...

thank you for your help !

Hi Laureline

First of all I would remind you that Matisse is no longer maintained.
That's why we advise users to create their mesh with Blue Kenue.

On your problem, when you wrote there is no error, what is the step mentionned in the command windows running with matisse?

I also saw that you have a zone in your model, did you compute the mesh of the zone before and is it working well?

I try on my computer and I obtain a mesh without any problem in 5 minutes as you can see on this screenshot

I just compute the zone mesh with 10 points for entry/output sections and 100 points for other section. The i compute the mesh with your criteria

Best regards
Christophe

When I said I had no error message, I wanted to say, in the command windows, meshing calculations keeps running and last several days until I stop it.

Yes, I first mesh the zone, then the entire model and it is working well.

I have just try with your caracteristics (10 points for entry/output and 100 points for other section) and it works well. I don't understand why it did not work with 10 points entry/output and 40 for others sections. In fact, someone told me it would be better for modelling dam's rupture and, in particular, flow due to it, to have mesh with important length.

So, I will keep your mesh characteristics, thank you very much for your rapidity ! I will try to use BlueKenue even if it seems much more difficult to use.

Sincerely

Hi
I suppose Matisse had some problem to merge the mesh of the zone (when you have only 40 points on lateral sections) and the mesh of the other area defined with your criteria.
Blue Kenue is not more difficult to use!. Il fact I think it's easier because it's more interactive and more visual but I recognize that the mesh algorithm is maybe a little bit less powerfull than Matisse.
But the most important point is to forgot the Matisse way of thinking when you use Blue Kenue!
Good luck

Regards
Christophe
