Hi all!

We are working on a model for which the mesh has been created in a local coordinate system (near 0;0). We have used the keyword ORIGIN COORDINATES = X;Y in order to have the result file back in the original coordinate system.

Strangely the result file appears to be in the local system. For information, when opening the same file with Blue Kenue we don't have this problem (the translation with ORIGIN COORDINATES is applied).

Can it be that both coordinate systems are stored in the result file and fudaa reading the "wrong" one? Could this be corrected in a next release?

Thanks in advance for you help!

Hello,

Just to be clear, Blue Kenue recognize the X,Y of the ORIGIN COORDINATES, but FUDAA does not.

Can you tell us the version of FUDAA you use.

At this point, I should mention that most major development efforts towards FUDAA (for applications to TELEMAC) have been re-focused towards SALOME (for application to TELEMAC). You can have a look at SALOME, although application to TELEMAC has not been publicized yet on that site (work in progress...).
If you are keen on carrying with Java applications (such as FUDAA), please note the interface Kalipso (kalypso.bjoernsen.de/, although in German) that is already integrating TELEMAC-2D running environment.

Hope this helps,
Sébastien.

Thank you Sébastien.

I use the latest version, 1.3RC3.

I think a possible alternative is to translate back the mesh before running the case (so without ORIGIN COORDINATES) and to define the type of geometry file as SERAFIND?

Nice to hear that new developments are on the go with fudaa/salomé. Can you describe shortly in what it will consist?

Thanks in advance!
