Hello all,

i'm a beginner and learning to use the telemac system. In this example i'm adapting the mersey telemac2d example to a local tidal model. I'm expecting bottom values of 0 and 1 in the vtk outputs. When I open the slf output in qgis posttelemac the bottom values are correct, when I convert slf to vtk using pputils the values are unexpected.

Has anyone come across this problem before, also do my input files look correct?

Attached are my input files, slf results and a couple example vtks.

Thanks for your time,

Alex.

Hello Alex,

It is not a TELEMAC-2D issue, thus I moved your topic in the scripts sections.

Rather than using pputils which are developed and maintained by Pat Prodanovic, outside the TELEMAC-MASCARET system, you can try the converter.py script available included in the TELEMAC-MASCARET system (in $HOMETEL/scripts/python3)

Try to run
converter.py srf2vtk -h
to get help with this command.

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan
