Hello Cai,

There are a lot of Python scripts available with the TELEMAC-MASCARET system.
They are located in $HOMETEL/scripts/python folder and you can have an overview of the features by running the notebooks, run (in a window with TELEMAC-MASCARET environment loaded):
jupyter-notebook
in the folder $HOMETEL/notebooks

Hope this helps,

How to read the result file *.slf with Python 1 year 10 months ago #41879

Hello,
I did not use TELEMAC since a long time...
I also want to read slf files with python, under a Windows OS.

run (in a window with TELEMAC-MASCARET environment loaded):
jupyter-notebook
in the folder $HOMETEL/notebooks

What do yo mean by a "window" with TELEMAC-MASCARET environment loaded ?

Thanks for your help.

Hello François,

Indeed, it is a long time since I have not read any post from you.

I familiar with Linux, not with Windows but I assume it would be quite the same:
I mean, if you open a CMD (command prompt) on Windows, if the environmental variables are set for this in the window (e.g. you can run a TELEMAC computation), you only have to type the lines I have written.

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan

Hi everyone

I am a new user of telemac, and now I want to use python to read the time and water depth data of the output selafin file. However, I have no idea how to do it. I found that I can use the "ppmodules.selafin_io_pp" and "pysel" modules to read the files, but I don't know how to use them.Another question is how to install or call these modules in python. Can anyone provide relevant information or examples to help me operate smoothly?

Or if there are other modules or methods that can read the results, please tell me.

Thank you!

Hsuan
