Hello,

at the last Telemac User Conference some people asked me about the ADCP postprocessing tool which I mentioned in my presentation.

So finally we are releasing the ADCP postprocessing tool ADCPtool v0.9! It is written in Python with the side packages Numpy and Matplotlib.

It has export functions for BlueKenue and other formats and so it allows the comparison of 2-D and even 3-D numerical simulation results with ADCP measurements.
As far as I know from the forum future TELEMAC postprocessing will be based also on Python and Matplotlib and so the ADCPtool may be an additional module in this framework.

Starting from a pure georeferencing and format conversion tool last year, we decided to add some nice functions. Some of these new functions are really in a beta stadium and maybe don’t work in some circumstances.

The ADCPtool is intended as Open Source tool - we think that it is coded in a very transparent and modular way with great possibilities to enhance its capabilities. We are looking forward that the interested community will give us feedback (bug fixes), contribute to future developments and share their implementations.

Hello Clemens,

This is just a note to remove your post form the list unanswered questions of the forum. Of course we appreciate your work and your contribution to the TELEMAC-MASCARET community. In fact it is highly probable that part of your code will end up within the TELEMAC system -- with full credits obviously.

Thank you.
Sébastien -- Président of the TELEMAC-MASCARET Consortium.
