Hi Sven,

I rechecked my cross sections and it did not changed anything. Moreover, the cross sections I used have the same coordinates which were used during the measurements.

Is there any other option to get rid of the time-shift?

Best

If you are sure about the measurements, I would look at the model. Test the effect of bottom friction on your results. How good is your bathymetry data? Because you have these wiggles and no data of free surface, you have no idea about the quality of your model. How where the discharges measured? Is there a way to extract free surface values from them?
You can also check the code of the control sections. You could calculate discharges in postprocessing to compare if you still doubt the code.
I think the mesh can use some improvements.

There are many things to test. In the end if you don't find anything, you could report your model results together with the extensive sensitivity analysis.
