open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello,
I'm just working on the tracer transport in the river.
At frist,I set TIDAL FLAT=NO,the tracer transport in the whole domain(out of the river,there is no water).And then I set TIDAL FLATS=YES,tracer is keep in the river chanel,but it keep in the upstream part.
I think the result should transpot to the downstream. Anyone could explain this to me?

A coefficient of diffusion of tracer of 17 is very, very high !!

revisit your steering file and verify well your parameters

Hello,

You can also make sure on the listing that there are iterations of the diffusion solver for the tracer. If you have 0 iterations it means that the accuracy is not small enough or the time step too small, and your tracer is stopped because the evolution in one time step is less than the accuracy asked, and the solver decides that the problem is already solved before doing any iteration.
