there was a trap :
you put too many space between
WIND ALONG X and M/S
the default name (you can find it in the dictionnary) is
'WIND ALONG X M/S ';
and your name is
'WIND ALONG X M/S '
so you can either change the name when you generate your wind file or add
NAMES OF VARIABLES : 'VELOCITY U M/S ';
'VELOCITY V M/S ';
'WIND ALONG X M/S ';
'WIND ALONG Y M/S ';
'WATER DEPTH M '
in your steering file, i just tested that and it worked.
