in your telemac3D steering file you specify a file for BINARY DATABASE 1 FOR TIDE, but you didn't attach it in your message, so i can't test your case.
So please attach 'hf.AO_2008.out' and 'uv.AO_2008.out' then i will try to run your case to understand your problem

Thanks to my colleague Chi Tuan who gaves me the files you mention in your steering file i could run your case. but i don't have the problem of current file not found, in Tomawac, which is normal because when you couple tomawac with telemac3d the current is transmitted through the coupling not through a file.
So may be there is something i didn't understand in your explanation.

As for the mean direction i can't judge if it fits the measurements i join the map i obtain. Note that since last version you can also have peak direction in outputs.

see attached the different files for the simulation (binary files for the tpxo.)

however , questions: considering the Cartesian coordinate,
if I want to simulate a Wave coming from South, do I write 180 or 0 in the steering file.
in bleukenue if I see the direction 0 in the tomawac result files-mean direction , does it means the wave coming from north or from south.

thank you sir T , and thank you Chi Tuan, I tried to share the files but it was not working.
for the simulation, I do have the same results. now it is a problem of understanding, because a 330 to 0 wave approching the coast is a wave coming from N-W, I think, which is the continent, so I am a bit lost.

May be that you will be a little bit less lost now that you know it is waves going to N.
