TOPIC: Oil spill duration

Oil spill duration 6 months 4 weeks ago #44633

Thank you for your help.
I attached my test case.

I modified this line in oil_flot.f to make it continuous.
IF(LT.GE.100 .AND. LT.LE.200) THEN

But the particles are overwritten. I got very confused with the numbering, and I don't know if the code automatically divides the total release (Soluble and insoluble) between the particles.
Thank you again.

Hello,

I am not a specialist of this feature.
Anyway, reading the OIL_FLOT subroutine you provide, my understanding is that every time you enter this subroutine and the condition in the time range, you reset the release of the floating body, due to the 2 initialisations NUM_GLO and NUM_LOC.
To add other particles at different time steps, I think you should use SAVE variables for NUM_LOC and NUM_GLO and only initialise them at 0 the 1st time you enter this subroutine.

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan
