When making sense to use Boussinesq approximation?
Make sense with hydrostatic pressure?

Hello,

If you want to model active tracers with buoyancy effects, you should use thé non hydrostatic version of TELEMAC-3D.

Using the hydrostatic assumption should be done with care, in particular that this assumption is good to model what you want.

Hôte this helps,

Hello,

Hard to say without the steering file + Fortran files.

Anyway, try to compare the options you use with what is done for similar TELEMAC-3D examples. Have a look at the TELEMAC-3D validation document also.

Home this helps,

Hello Juli,

Try to use the options of the heat_exchange example (for WAQTEL), in particular the vertical turbulence model. You should use WIND = YES if you have wind data in your ASCII ATMOSPHERIC DATA FILE and I would recommend to use NON-HYDROSTATIC VERSION = YES as you want to see buoyancy effects.

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan

Hi Chi-Tuan
I did all of this, my results are still weird, the temperature is getting cool on the surface.
can somebody tell me what is happening?
Thank you very much

Is it because of the sinks in the equation? Is it because the equations are not conservative?
