Hi, please just ignore the previous message about keyWords problem, solved.
Thx

Hello Josias,

Your error and its solution may help other users.
Was it due to a number of columns exceeding 72?

hi chi-tuan,

in fact I really don't know the technical aspect of the problem, but what I did to solve it is :
- I just run a previous computation with a previous fully working steering file in a previous working directory,
- copied-pasted this file in this same directory to have an in-situ copy I am gonna work with ( B) in-situ copy  ),
- made all numerical modifications required in the copy,
- then run a short simulation,
- then changed the input files (boundary and geometric files) I did want,
- then run a short simulation,
- then copied this steering file (the in-situ copy) to the new folder I did want with the required input files (boundary, geometric, liquid boundary...),
- then run a short simulation and voila!.

I am pretty sure what I just write is not relevant, and I don't know what was wrong with the previous not working steering file but I deleted it.

sorry for not be able to be more specific.

hi
I got this error message in using the fortran file user_mesh_transf.f ,

Screenshotfrom2022-11-0216-35-31.png

this is the modification I made in the steering file about the mesh

FORTRAN FILE : 'jo_fortran16'

NUMBER OF HORIZONTAL LEVELS = 16

MESH TRANSFORMATION = 2

this is my fortran file

File Attachment:

File Name: user_mesh_transf.f
File Size: 3 KB

THX

Hi Josias,

It has been awhile I programmed in FORTRAN, but I believe you mis a space before each line, the first character should be at position 7 and you start on 6 (replace ! by space to uncomment).

Hope that helps,
Patrick

hi everybody,
It seems that I have a recursive problem with my keywords recognition in my steering files, as I posted 4/5 messages before. even in my tomawac steering file this problem stand.
what I use to solve this time is to use FUDAA-PREPRO. I mean I just make my file as I want, knowing that It does not run the computation, I open it in fudaa and save the file via fudaa. By this way the steering file can run, but there is changes (rearrangement) in my steering file. I let you see the difference

hi everybody ,
hi CHI -TUAN ,
in the post www.opentelemac.org/index.php/kunena/21-...ement?start=10#41433 , I think you were right, the problem maybe caused by the number of columns exceeding 72.
I solved a similar problem, splitting the line in 2 or 3, by using the "Enter" button.

for example, I got 3 boundaries and 6 concentration tracers or sediments to set, so instead of having one long line

error1.png

, creating errors in the computation, I have 3 lines.

also those 3 lines help me to recognize each concentration at each boundary... so more readable file.

Fudaa just tend to set confusion in my file. so each time I use it I always need to reorganize my steering file. the splitting option is better.

thx
