open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Having problem installing Telemac and using it with FUDAA. FUDAA had already been installed and working, but Rubens and Matisse were not. I had already tried editing the preferences but still, Matisse & Rubens did not work.

I would like to request a clear instruction on the following as I'm having a hard time making it function:

1) After installing Telemac (and PERL), where should I install the Pre-Post Matisse-Rubens software that was separately found for it. When I did it, it was inside the Telemac folder, but as a separate folder (named Pre-Post) from the v6P0 folder. I also noticed that once installed, it has a separate BIN folder of its owns.

Because of this, when setting the preference in FUDAA, the Rubens-Matisse software cannot be accessed from the BIN of Telemac.

2) I tried running the executable of Rubens in the command prompt to see what would happen. When I did this it says:

ILOG Views, licensed to "edf-clamart-Golden
Disk EDFDER".

ERROR 5: Invalid license parameters
definition <-6>
License environment variable not defined

Then a window pops-out and says that rubens.exe has stopped working, then asking to close the program.

Hope somebody can help me with this or even provide a step by step instruction/guide on how to install Telemac and make it work with FUDAA pre-pro (particularly matisse and rubens).

1) In the preference settings of FUDAA you can create a second version (for Pre/Post) where you can select the bin directory of Pre-Post directory.
(If the directory is not recognize as a valid directory, you will force to copy the telemac2d.bat file from the V5P6\bin directory to Pre-Post directory)

2) It's strange that you encountered such message. that means the program could not find the MatisRubens.ini file

I followed th instruction (copied the telemac2d.bat file from the V6P0 bin directory to Pre-Post directory and assigned it for Mattise and Rubens). However, it is still not working. When I clicked either Rubens or Matisse, it said that it cannot find Rubens/Matisse.

Does it have to do with problem #2 (i.e. it cannot find the MatisRubens.ini file)? But this file is inside the config folder of Pre_Post directory.

What can I do next?

If your installation is ok, Fudaa should manage two versions of Telemac
When you click on Matisse (or Rubens), Fudaa will ask you to choose the version; Be sure to choose the one with Matisse and Rubens link
I've made this manipulation many times and it works well.

(je parle espagnol, alors excuses-moi si j'ai des fauts ortograpiques et sintaxiques, peut etre il y a quelqu'un entre vous que peut me ecrire en espagnol, j'a recu a course de telemec il y a 4 ans, apres j'ai pas l'oportunité de l'utilizer, mais maintenant cela m'interese pour mes travails de recherche)

1)j'ai les mêmes problems que tizzah
j'ai essaié de lire bien celles instructions que vous avez lui donné pour le resourdre...mais j'ai pas encore de resultats positives

2) il y des exemples (fichiers et documentation pour initiliser mon aprentisage?)

Esta vez en Francés :

Perl est un langage de programmation utilisé pour les scripts de lancement de Telemac (par exemple la commande telemac2d.bat appelle une commande perl). Pour le télécharger, aller dans l'onglet "téléchargement" et choisir "logiciels" (écrit en blanc sur la bande verte, puis choisir PERL). Sinon aller directement sur :

strawberryperl.com/

On le donnait avant avec notre distribution, mais cela créait des conflits car perl est très souvent déjà installé.

As fudaa can find neither matisse nor rubens on my computer, I tried the manipulation described above (copy telemac2d.bat file in the bin of pre_post, then insert the pre_post bin's address in the preferenced executables of fudaa.
Unfortunately it still doesn't work. Perl is installed and telemac can normally run.

Would any of you guys have another solution ?

What is the message?
Are you working under W7? If so, Fudaa as a problem to automatically update the path value when you click on Matisse or Rubens (it's a new found bug). So add manually the right valur to your path an this will run normally.
