Hi again,

I downloaded the latest release of Telemac (v6p1), and I'm now trying to adapt the installation instructions for v6p0 to this last version.

When I run the cfgmak command, I have this error message: 'Error or undefined GENERAL bloc in C:\telemac_v6p0\config\;C:telemac_v6p1\sources\config\\systel.ini

The first specified folder is the folder where I had the *.ini file for the previous version v6p0, but it doesn't exist anymore (I deleted everything: folder and environment variables related to this version).

Enclosed here my systel.ini file

Hi,

I first suggest you to check this post : www.opentelemac.org/index.php?option=com...90&Itemid=62&lang=fr

1/ You have to choose wintel32s as HOSTTYPE if using Intel Visual Fortran (in systel.ini) ;

2/ And try to run a CMD session directly from the INTEL menu (for nmake.exe issue) ;

3/ 'Error or undefined GENERAL bloc in C:\telemac_v6p0\config\;C:telemac_v6p1\sources\config\\systel.ini

Indeed, check SYSTELCFG on your system (echo %SYSTELCFG%). I remind you that you have to export SYSTELCFG as systel.ini's location e.g C:\telemac_v6p1\config.

=> I suggest you to heck the environment variables in the system properties panel. How did you export the first SYSTELCFG?

Great thank you it works fine with wintel32s as HOSTTYPE and with running a cmd session directly from the intel menu.

To export SYSTELCFG I've created a new environment variable through Advances system settings in my control panel home (name of the variable SYSTELCFG, value the path to the folder \config)

Maybe my next question would be more relevant in the TOMAWAC category of this forum now, since it's about a training test case for TOMAWAC. If it is, let me know, I'll open a new topic in that category.
Anyway, I entered tomawac frot_T_V5p6.cas in my cmd session, and I have the following message:

'FIN NORMALE DU PROGRAMME

Duration of the job: 3 seconds (0:03) (system=0 sec)
*** FILES DELIVERY ***
- 2D RESULT FILE : frot_T_d5-f0.1-h1.r2d
- frot_T_d5-f0.1-h1.r2d
- PUNCTUAL RESULT FILE : frot_T_d5-f0.1-h1.spe
- frot_T_d5-f0.1-h1.spe

No execution errors detected.
'-' is not recognized as an internal or internal command,
operable program or batch file.
## Error : System command failed for ./delete_frot_T_v5p6.cas1324.bat :256'

I would just like to check if it's not an error due to the compilation properly done? I had no error nor warning messages at the end of my makefile90 compilation, but I might have missed something.

Thanks again for your help!

Hi,

It seems that both compilation/computation were successful.
Are you able to visualize the results file (frot_T_d5-f0.1-h1.r2d)?

But, yeah, there is still a small error in the script file delete_frot_T_v5p6.cas1324.bat. Can you enclose this file here, so we can have a close look at it. This script is used for cleaning temporary directories.

Hi,

Enclosed the zip folder with the bottom friction test case, in it you should find everything you might need.

To visualize the *.r2d files, I guess that I need Tecplot? I don't have it yet so I cannot visualize the file (unless I can use another software to do so); but the file has been created, that's a good point, as well as the *.spe file

I tried the other test cases too, and I have the same error, each time with this *.casxxxx.bat file

Regards,
pauline.

Well, sorry, I don't see why you get this error. The system is trying to run something with "-"...

- Did you get similar errors with some Telemac2D test cases?

I don't know the file path length limit on your system. The path length of this test is about 150 characters. Could be due to that.

=> You can try to move this test case to a top directory (say C:\Bottom_friction) and see what happens.

For post-processing : Fudaa or BlueKenue are both free and available in the graphical tools section (www.opentelemac.org/index.php?option=com...14&Itemid=40&lang=fr)

Hi,

- I have the same error with the Telemac2d test cases
- I rerun the simulation from C:\Bottom_friction and I have the same error, so it can't be due to the path length limit

Does this bug affect the result? I.e does the simulation run til the end, and it's just that tomowac does not delete the temporary directories, or do I have some result files missing?

And thanks for the post-processing tools link, I'll install them today.

Hi
The problem is only in the mat file in charge of deleting the temporary diles and directory.
This bug don't affect the result.
You could check the simulation run till the end by editing the result (fudaa or blue kenue) and have a look on the last time step. Then compare with the simulation condition.
