Hi,

Thank you for your help.

The binary distribution of MPICH2 looks ok as I can run example with mpiexec command. It doesn't mean that the precompiled library in the distribution are compatible with gfortran.

Again, when I read MPICH2 installer's guide (windows version), Intel Fortran is optional but It is the recommended compiler.

For this reason, it's not simple to compile parallel version of telemac under windows without intel fortran.

I have seen that MPICH2 is recommended for windows. Can anybody confirm that windows + gfortran or g95 + MPICH2 is appropriate as the libraries doesn't seem to be compatible with gfortran ?

Hi,

After researching old posts with the keyword "MPICH", I have found the following post:

Hi Damien,

Unfortunately - as far as I am aware - nobody has used TELEMAC in parallel on Windows with gfortran nor g95.

The difficulty is to get a proper install of the MPI library on Windows.
Both OpenMPI and MPICH2 provide a setup file which is only working with the Intel Visual Fortran Compiler.

And OpenMPI developers confirmed me recently that F90 bindings are still not supported on Windows (F77 bindings are supported in the last version)

I will try with Gfortran & MPICH2 when I have more time.

Regards,

Fabien

Does anyone can confirm it?
