Hi,

I’m completely new to Telemac although have many years of experience using other packages and also a lot of code writing. I have a genuine 64-bit computer running Windows 7 and I installed Telemac using the automatic installer here: www.opentelemac.org/index.php/binaries.

As far as I could tell, this installation ran perfectly, as I got no error messages and the five principle subfolders called gcc, installers, python27, svnclient and v6p2 are all present and appear to be fully populated.

When I go here www.opentelemac.org/index.php/assistance/faq, it states that: ‘you can run a Telemac simulation from the Fudaa-Prepro Interface. When the configuration of your computation case is done, you could run the simulation by a simple click on the dedicated button (storm icon)’. I don’t have that button/icon on my screen. I don’t have it in my Start/Programs Listings either. That’s my first problem.
I’ve tried command line approaches but they don’t work either.

At the moment, all I want to do is to run Artemis simulations, but I seem to be miles away from even running examples.

Assuming that I do have a complete installation, can you please provide a simple step by step statement on how to run Artemis and how to build models - from a 'getting started' perspective?

I’ve looked at the examples and they are good, but they don’t help me in answering these basic questions. I understand the physics; that isn’t the problem; my problem is just knowing how to run this package. Looks great, but how do you get going?

Thanks
Ricco

Hi
In Fudaa-Prepro, the storm exist if you run the editor module.
This request you had already a test case or at least a mesh.
Did you build a mech of your area of interest with Blue Kenue?

Hi Christophe,

i now have Fudaa installed and I'm working through the Manual. I asked you a badly-informed question previously. I will go through the Fudaa Manual and use the package and return with a question if I am still in difficulties after that

best regards
Ricco
