Couplage Tomawac Telemac2d?

Hello [name removed],

I carried out a study on the dispersion of wastewater discharge concentration into the sea using a coupling of Telemac2D and Tomawac. When I activate WAVE DRIVEN CURRENTS = YES, Telemac2D gives the following message.

… processing the steering file

When I disable WAVE DRIVEN CURRENTS = NO, Telemac2D runs the calculations normally.

Thank you all in advance for your help regarding this issue.

Hello,

Several remarks:

  • you should use the latest release 9.1.0 or the main as there is no assistance for older releases,

  • the error message is not consistent with your input files, the error message talks about a steering file with name [name removed] (and no such file in your archive),

  • trying to run your input files, there are errors about the number of prescribed values in PRESCRIBED… keywords (3 are expected, only 1 is given).and the computation crashes with an error message describing what I have just written whatever choice for WAVE DRIVEN CURRENTS. Morepover, you should not choose the number of cores to run with keywords PARALLEL PROCESSORS but when launching telemac2.py t2d.cas --ncsize=10

  • if you activate WAVE DRIVEN CURRENTS = YES without coupling with [name removed], you have to provide a wave driven currents file otherwise the computation crashes,

  • the TOMAWAC-TELEMAC-2D coupling cannot work with variable time step.

Hope this helps,
