Hello [name removed],
I tried to install V8P4 following instructions provided at this link : openTELEMAC / wintel · GitLab
After using the command C:\wintel>build-telemac C:\telemac /v V8P4 I finally get the message in attachment.
If someone let me know how I can correct this, I would be grateful.

Hi [name removed]
Nice to see you’re always in the Telemac sphere…
This message sounds like there is no automatic association of file *.py with python…
Not sure the reason why as this seems automatically managed by the script and I’m not a user of this script…
By the way, here is something you could test:
Manually run the compile script by running the command python compile_telemac.py in the good directory…
Otherwise, maybe you could try the other version v8p5 or maybe v9.0 which is the latest and thus the official release.
Kind regards

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.
I finally succeeded using the last version and modifying the path.
Always a pleasure to discuss with you.
Hoping you are well.

Hi [name removed]
I have problems to run V8P4. When compiling it opens VSCode Python Debugger, and ends in error message. I suspect it is a Path issue but I do not know how to fix it. I tried uninstalling telemac and reinstalling again but the problem remains. Before Uninstalling VSCode as ultimate option I would like to fix it and keeping the VSC. Thanks. Please, could you help me?
Not a path issue but an automatic association of python extension file with vscode which leads to launch automatically vscode when you enter a command like telemac2d.py
Try to run the command with the form: python telemac2d.py …
