Simvia docker parallel run

Good morning

I just installed the simvia docker for open telemac v8p5r1. It was very easy following the instructions from the youtube video: how to pull the open_telemac docker image and use it to run an example

https://www.simvia.tech/en/learning-center?page=2

https://youtu.be/08l-Car7EAA

The example and other cases run fine in serial (1 precessor) but not in parallel. Does anyone have the same problem?

I´m using ubuntu 24.04

Hello [name removed],

It’s great to hear you find the docker image of Telemac we made easy to install and use.

Regarding the parallel issue, there is indeed a problem when the selafin file has been generated with Q4TS+QGIS. It’s most likely because the image is built on an older version of Q4TS. We are currently working on updating it.

It is worth noting however that, if you just use Telemac with a .slf file not generated with the docker version of QGIS, it should run fine in parallel if you use the simvia/opentelemac:qgis-v8p5r1 image. I haven’t tried recently the Telemac only image (simvia/opentelemac:v8p5r1 is this the one you’re using?).

In any case we will let you know soon when the new image is out.

I´m very imapcient to see the new release. It´s really nice to have the docker. I couldn´t install telemac in Ubuntu 24.04, I read all the posts about it and still nothing.

The docker is a wonderfull option.
