Pre-conference workshop - October 16-17
The workshop took place during the two days preceeding the conference, and was a very useful opportunity for hands-on experience of the TELEMAC-MASCARET system, interactive users questions and discussion with developpers.

From 12:00 till 17:30 on Tuesday the 16th (buffet lunch and afternoon break provided)
From 8:45 till 17:30 on Wednesday the 17th (buffet lunch and breaks provided)
Public transport
Direct buses X39 or X40 (http://www.thames-travel.co.uk/busx39x40x41/busx39_x40_x41_mf_june12.htm) between Oxford (St Aldates Stop H5) and HR Wallingford (stop between Benson and Crowmarsh). In Oxford, the bus goes along Abingdon Road.
Trip duration: about 30 minutes. Possible purchase of tickets with the bus driver. The X40 in Oxford at 8:10 will bring you to HR Wallingford at about 8:40. The X39 in Oxford at 11:15 will bring you to HR Wallingford at about 11:50. The X39 at HR Wallingford at around 17:50 will take you back to Oxford before 18:30

13:45 - 15:45 -- Live demonstration / discussion of the generation of unstructured meshes with Blue Kenue.
15:45 - 16:15 -- (if time) Live demonstration of FUDAA for the deployment of a TELEMAC simulation
16:30 - 17:00 -- Live demonstration / discussion: Installing the TELEMAC-MASCARET system on Windows and Linux (based on the python version) including a short presentation of SVN and of the details of the system configuration file. Installation for use on High Performance Computing resources.
17:00 - 17:30 -- Presentation of the OCF (http://www.ocf.co.uk/) and its "encore" services for rented use of TELEMAC on High Performance Computing resources.
17:30 and little after -- Users and Developers of the TELEMAC-MASCARET system will remain available for discussions.

8:45 - 9:30 -- Training on programming with the python language, including its use through the open source NetBeans environment
9:30 - 10:00 -- Detail look at the main TELEMAC-MASCARET python scripts
10:15 - 12:15 -- A short live demonstration of use of the main modules of the TELEMAC system (TELEMAC-2D, TELEMAC-3D, ARTEMIS, TOMAWAC and SISYPHE)
Within the 1 hour lunch, 30 minute tour of HR Wallingford`s physical modelling facilities

15:00 - 15:15 -- (if time) Application of programming principles to advanced uses of TELEMAC
15:15 - 15:45 -- Live demonstration of FUDAA for the deployment of a MASCARET simulation and of several test cases
15:45 - 16:15 -- Presentation of coupling mechanisms between MASCARET and TELEMAC-2D with results of an application
