I want to import some data to matisse using xyz format but I can't. All the times I get an error message. I've tried files with values separated by comma, by tab and by space but none seems to work. Can anyone tell me the exact format of xyz files?

Hello,

After asking a colleague, it seems that spaces are OK as separator, but an important point is that there should be no space in the PATH leading to your directory. You could reproduce the problem with "Mes documents" in the path.

Otherwise the format is simple, it is only a series of

X Y Z

at every line.

I am having the same problem as fmbrito, I cannot import any file into matisse. I've tried to change the file path as to have no spaces in the directory. However, i still cannot import any data into matisse.

I I have tried to import xyz, Sinusx, and dxf files with the the cp.bat file.

Could this be due to my set-up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you try to import data in matisse, you could have a look in the command windows running in background.
There is some message about the import.
Maybe if you send us more information we could help you.
Without any more information it's very difficult.

Disregard last message, I can now import XYZ files. However still having difficulty with DXF.

Dxf files are under 2012, saved from autocad. Same directory as xyz file.

For the dxf file it just states "The system cannot find the file specified.

Matisse use older version of DXF files.
Try with a DXF 12 or 13
