Hello everyone.
I have a question.
I read a document of TOMAWAC (FILE .PDF). I see: "TOMAWAC models the sea states by solving the balance equation for the action density directional spectrum" in this document. But I read all document, I don't know what "the balance equation for the action density directional spectrum". So, what formula is it?
Maybe, probably due to different languages so I do not understand.

Hello,
My colleagues will explain in more detail, but the wave action density is a kind of energy of the waves, given per frequency and per direction. So there is a number of discretised frequencies and angles, and Tomawac computes the energy of waves of a given frequency in the direction of a given angle.
The wave action equation is a transport equation with source terms.
With best regards,
