Hi
I have seen examples of FORTRAN programming of friction (eg (Friction-CALC) as I'll add another formula the problem that I have read this document, but I can not understand the symbol (. example of Manning formula will normally:
U = (1 / n) * R ** (2/3) ** s * (1/2) (s is the slope)
I find in this document: the law of manning becomes
CF% R (I) = 2.D0 * BURN * (CHESTR% R (I) ** 2) / HC% R (I) THIRD **
I did not understand this formulation? can you help me I've seen in the explanation of symbol but I did not understand how it was made this digital
reformulation?

Hello,
We use Fortran 90 or even 2003, % is the component extractor, %R is our component of the BIEF_OBJ structure where the double precision data are stored. Please see the Guide to programming in the Telemac system for further explanations.

JMH
